Four days are all we have left until the end of the school year! It has been a pleasure seeing the growth in your children over the school year. Not only have they changed physically (so many lost teeth!), but it's the social and academic growth that is amazing to see. I have had most of the third graders for multiple years and delighted in watching their development into independent readers. Our time together is reaching a bittersweet end.
I'm attaching some reminders about library books. On a positive note, most library books have been returned. We will send home one more round of overdue notes this week, but feel free to message or email me with questions.

Just keep reading, just keep reading, just keep reading! The Meade County Public Library is again offering a Summer Reading Program and it's open for children from ages 0-12. They have fun events, great prizes and access to reading materials for all ages. The info attached explains what is planned for this summer. You can also visit their FB page , their website, www.meadereads.org or call them @ 270-422-2094.
The yellow papers your children brought home this week are for a reading incentive program BHP is sponsoring. It is a separate program from the one being put on by the public library,. If your child participates in both programs, that equals more reading and more prizes!

Thanks to the P.E. dynamic duo of Mr. Smallwood and Mrs. Compton who organized this year's field day. It was a great success!! 😎

2nd grade closed out the patriotic field day activities today. Congratulations to Mrs. kersey's class who won the Spirit Stick award 🙌 and Mrs. Norris/Mrs. Weick who were Tug of War Champs! 🏆

Another 3rd Grade field day in the books! The weather cooperated and students looked super patriotic in their 🔴 ⚪️ 🔵. Mrs. Carnells class were the Tug of War Champions 💪 and Mrs. DeSurne's won the spirit stick for outstanding sportsmanship. 🎉

2 Days before our Lost and Found items will be forever lost. Items can be claimed through the week and then donated after that. Have your child look in the cafeteria if you know of a lost item.

Kindergartener's experienced their 1st Field Day! The energy and positivity was amazing. Congrats to Mrs. Doyle's class - Spirit Stick Champions. Mrs. Bahr's Class - Tug Of War Champions.

Who says indoor field day can't be fun?! These 1st grade students had a great time with the patriotic games and Tug of War! Congrats to Mrs. Travis' class who won both the Tug of War Championship and the Spirit Stick Award!!

We love our amazing Speech-Language Pathologists!
Mrs. Bradenburg, Ms. Greer, and Mrs. Haynes go above and beyond to support our Bears every day. Whether it’s helping with communication skills, building confidence, or offering encouragement, their impact is felt in countless ways. We’re so grateful for all they do!
